Creativity
Drawing, painting, music, movement, poetry, modelling and drama enhance learning.
Why Heartwood
Our primary aim is to provide a welcoming environment in which young people can be themselves, meet and make friends and enjoy learning.
We support each child in discovering their particular interests and skills through art, crafts and in-depth exploration of a wide range of subjects. Our experienced tutors encourage curiosity, questioning and individual responses with a warm and friendly approach.
Our ethos is inspired by Steiner Waldorf education, reflecting the needs of the child at each stage of development. Appealing to the head, hands and heart makes learning more enjoyable and rewarding.
Above all, our aim is to support young teenagers at this vulnerable time in their lives by building their self-esteem and confidence, both socially and in learning.
